What to Expect with Surgery
With the safety of your pet being of our utmost importance, our team takes all necessary measures to ensure the safety and comfort of your pet.
How our team minimizes risk in surgery
-
A thorough pre-surgical exam and bloodwork is done to ensure your pet is fit for surgery.
-
An IV catheter is placed in your pet so that we can give them the fluids and any extra medication they require during surgery.
-
Our nurses and assistants will be by your pet's side throughout the entire procedure, and we have state-of-the-art equipment to monitor throughout the procedure.
-
Following surgery, we continue to watch over and provide warmth for your pet to ensure a safe and comfortable recovery.
Why Spay and Neuter Surgeries
Are Important
At a some point in their lives, the majority of dogs and cats should be spayed or neutered in order to reduce their risk of reproductive/health disorders and to avoid having undesired litters. The following conditions can be avoided or lessened with spay and neuter procedures: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, ovarian cancer and uterine cancer/infection.
